Hi, I am Sophia! 

I am a program manager with 10+ years of experience in customer relations, technical discussions, operational program planning, and execution.  

I have worked with telecom solution vendors (Nokia, Formerly Alcatel-Lucent Technologies) and network operators customers (Verizon, Mediacom) to successfully deliver 5G RAN (Radio Access Network) and 4G/5G Core projects, Core/Network Extenders (Femto Core), MEC (Mobile Edge Computing) projects for commercial trials and deployment.  

I have also worked with business development, marketing, engineering, and delivery teams on demo projects (5G First Interop, 5G NR First Mobility, 5G First commercial, and Bell Labs innovation at trade shows (Mobile World Congress America).

What I do: 

I lead complex technical projects from planning to execution, and delivery.

• Craft program plans by establishing program scope, architecture, features, hardware requirements, third-party dependencies, resources, teams, roles, and responsibilities.
• Work with customers to understand requirements and blocking issues
• Lead Engineering discussions to ensure the implementation of customer features
• Drive the resolution of all blocking issues for customer acceptance and production deployment   
• Coordinate and lead sophisticated technical engineering-to-engineering discussions
• Ensure contract deliverables are successfully managed, monitored, and controlled
• Align global cross-functional team of software & hardware engineering, manufacturing operations, product quality, supplier procurement and/or account executives 
• Identify process improvement to address business and operational efficiencies
• Build dashboards and reports for the customers and senior leadership team.
• Develop key, trusted customer relationships, especially in operation and engineering functions, and find solutions to their issues.

Why I do it: 

I am passionate about innovation and technologies that improve the way we interact, work, and live.   With decades of experience in wireless telecom, I have experienced the transformation from 2G to 5G.  Currently, I am fascinated by the AI (Artificial Intelligence) and how it will revolutionize the society.  I love to learn about emerging technologies and trends.  

When I am not managing projects, I research and write about AI tools and applications.
